The role involves maximizing relationships with vendors while minimizing inventory spend and ensuring supplier compliance with company regulations.

Responsibilities
Form and maintain strong vendor relations
Identify new suppliers and assist negotiating supply agreements and contracts as needed, including discount structures, volume rebates, shipping, etc
Identify opportunities for cost management/value addition
Forecast procurement needs and reorder points
Ensure supplier compliance with all company regulations and requirements, including documentation
Handle purchasing issues
Be responsible for resource and supply availability and timing
Perform cost analysis on items, quantities and holding costs
Increase ROI thru maintaining quality vendor relationships
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Great written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in all Microsoft applications with the ability to quickly learn new inventory/purchasing systems
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Previous purchasing or logistics experience, preferred
