Case Coordinator
NEOGOV is seeking a Case Coordinator to determine eligibility for the County’s Indigent Health Care Program. The role involves maintaining client records, managing provider relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines while communicating with clients about their eligibility and benefits.

Responsibilities
Screen applicants using approved procedures and forms; refer clients to appropriate agencies as needed
Conduct interviews with applicants, review applications, and document all findings
Determine eligibility for the Indigent Health Care Program in compliance with County and Texas Department of Health and Human Services (TDHHS) guidelines
Maintain and manage case files, including scheduling reviews and documenting all client contact and case-related information
Review and evaluate ongoing cases for recertification or denial, ensuring compliance with established deadlines
Communicate with healthcare providers regarding client eligibility, service restrictions, and benefit limitations
Respond to inquiries from clients, providers, and agencies via telephone, fax, email, or mail
County Inmate billing services, to include jailings, eligibility, medical invoices, research commissary accounts, while maintaining strict record keeping and compliance
Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations regarding client privacy and confidentiality
Collaborate with the County Auditor’s Office on financial matters related to client eligibility and funding
Work with the District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Department on potential fraud investigations
Assist in updating and establishing local program policies in response to caseload growth and program changes
Performs other duties as assigned
Attendance is an essential function of the job
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience in health care, social services, or case management
A minimum of two (2) years of office experience
Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, is required
Bilingual in Spanish/English is required
Within one (1) year of hire, the employee must complete both Basic and Advanced Training through the Texas Department of State Health Services, and be certified in CPR
Must have a valid Texas driver's license to operate county vehicles
Preferred
An Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
