Responsibilities
Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxes
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including corporate and payroll taxes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Support leadership with financial reporting, insights, and analysis to inform decision-making
Maintain and enforce internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audits and compliance
Assist in the development and implementation of improved accounting processes, systems, and workflows
Manage payroll processing and related activities, including onboarding and offboarding support
Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff as needed
Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with integrity and discretion
Commit to making Overit the best company it can be by contributing ideas that improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial processes
Maintain strong collaboration and communication with leadership and cross-functional teams
Take initiative and work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a marketing or creative agency environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Spreadsheets
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage varying workloads, meet deadlines, and work independently
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Preferred
Proficiency in Workamajig is highly desirable
