Vice President, Global Strategy

News Corp is seeking a Vice President, Global Strategy to help drive the development, execution, and growth of our global advertising and platform partnerships. This role plays a critical part in operationalizing our global monetization strategy and supporting cross-market commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

Identify and size new multi-market advertising opportunities; lead and support the sales process, from opportunity assessment to pitch development and partnership execution
Map global client and agency relationships, unlocking new access points and identifying underserved client groups
Carefully avoid sales channel conflict, tailoring detailed engagement plans for strategic clients to ensure a cohesive coverage plan for key customers
Maintain and grow relationships with central agency leaders, digital and data teams, and global client organizations to complement and amplify BU sales activity
Maintain a multi-market sales pipeline and convert opportunities into structured commercial delivery plans
Lead the Global Solutions Team, ensuring cross-BU coordination and expanding global advertiser relationships
Develop high-impact materials—including global strategy narratives, multi-market sales collateral and client-ready proposals—that articulate News Corp’s unique value across businesses and geographies
Identify opportunities to reach new client groups, organizing customer events and coordinating presence at major industry events, such as Cannes Lions
Provide commercial and analytical support for major advertiser partnerships, including ongoing relationship management and performance reporting
Support the development of scalable advertising product strategies, incorporating market trends, partner feedback and BU requirements
Translate the global Advertising Technology vision into actionable workstreams and materials that support BU adoption, monetization growth and consistency
Partner with Product, Technology and Data teams to progress global monetization initiatives (Apps, Video, CTV, contextual and first-party data capabilities)
Evaluate market trends, competitive shifts and emerging technologies; provide insights that inform product strategy and global tech partnerships
Support the Platform Partnerships team on the advertising implementation of platform relationships, ensuring they drive sustainable revenue growth
Provide thought leadership as part of global councils, innovation forums and cross-business working groups, presenting perspectives on emerging formats (e.g., AR, video, audio) and platform trends
Conduct market, customer and competitive analyses to inform monetization strategy and partnership decisions
Produce white papers, executive briefings, landscape reviews and Board-level presentations on new opportunities, industry developments and key partnerships
Serve as an internal consultant to operating divisions, applying structured analytical frameworks to assess commercial benefits, risks and financial implications
Drive consistency and accuracy in global advertising dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders
Manage multiple concurrent strategic projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and deliverables
Coordinate across Analytics, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Product and BU teams to ensure initiatives are aligned, well-executed and measurable
Enable global transparency through structured communication, documentation and stakeholder management
Support Corporate Strategy leadership in preparing materials for executive leadership, including quarterly board updates, partnership reviews and strategic outlooks

Required

10+ years in Strategy, Advertising Strategy, Commercial Strategy, or Business Development within a scaled media, technology or platform business; consulting or investment banking experience with a media focus is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not required
Proven experience developing and managing advertiser and platform relationships
Strong ability to evaluate market and technology trends and translate them into actionable commercial recommendations
Exceptional strategic, analytical and project-management capabilities
Outstanding communication skills—able to influence senior leaders, simplify complexity, and produce high-impact narratives for executive audiences
Exceptional research and synthesis skills, with fluency in both internal and external data sources
Strong understanding of the evolving media, advertising and consumer technology landscape
High commercial acumen and experience developing business plans, financial models or opportunity sizing analyses
A self-starter comfortable operating in a matrixed, fast-moving, unstructured environment
