Responsibilities

Work within a dynamic and fast paced environment

Pay strong attention to details in drafting court documents

Compile all possible information, evidence and documentation, including medical records and bills, loss of earnings documentation and change in lifestyle information, that will help the legal department build a case

Negotiate claims

Follow up with clients

Appear in front of a judge for hearings

Review and evaluate liability and insurance availability for cases in pre-litigation

Build client relationships and communicate with clients and family members during pre-litigation

Conduct investigations – collect and analyze evidence in order to determine all potential claims and liability, potential defendants, and insurance coverages

Conduct legal research

Investigate facts of loss and research application of case law

Analyze, manage, and review evidence to assess liability and determine case plan

Draft government claim forms and demand letters

Communicate with adjusters; draft correspondence as needed
