Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Consumer Complaint Investigator/Analyst to assist individuals in resolving disputes with businesses related to goods and services. The successful candidate will mediate complaints, manage a caseload, and ensure compliance with consumer protection laws.

Responsibilities

Mediate complaints between businesses and consumer (i.e. Disputing Parties) to negotiate mutually agreeable resolutions
Manage a caseload of complaints and ensure timelines for follow-up actions are met
Review and evaluate consumer complaints and supporting documents for potential violations of consumer protection laws and regulations
Answer consumer questions and provide education related to mediation services
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Must have four years experience in investigating, auditing, consumer education, mediating or resolving complaints or a related field
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification

Ability to effectively and efficiently research, interpret and apply statutes and regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership, fellow staff, and constituents
