Accounting Clerk I

Responsibilities
Prepares and reviews journal entries
Prepares and reviews assigned P&L account variances analyses
Prepares and reviews assigned balance sheet account fluctuation analyses
Assists with close activities as assigned
Prepares and reviews assigned account reconciliations
Researches and resolves any general ledger system issues together with IT personnel and others as required
Monitors and documents departmental policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance with SOX requirements
Supports special projects as needed
Prepares schedules and analyses as requested by internal, external and SOX auditors
Works with other department as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong organization skills with ability to manage large workload
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Access
Ability to manage special projects
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to various requests
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to management
Ability to interface well with personnel at all levels
Experience in satisfying Sox compliance activities
