The Security Operations Center Analyst role involves supporting day-to-day security operations and incident response activities, including monitoring security alerts and collaborating with IT operations teams to enhance security posture.

Responsibilities
Actively monitor, investigate, and triage security alerts generated from SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud security platforms
Analyzing suspicious activity
Validating security events
Participating in containment, remediation, and post-incident review efforts
Implementing and maintaining security controls across network, endpoint, and cloud environments
Supporting risk and security assessments aligned with industry frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO
Assisting with the development, enforcement, and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures
Documenting investigation findings
Providing actionable remediation recommendations
Contributing to ongoing security improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with knowledge of risk assessment, incident response, and data protection strategies
Proficiency in Network Security, including secure network design, firewalls, and monitoring
Familiarity with Application Security principles and protocols to safeguard software and applications from threats
Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess vulnerabilities, analyze data, and recommend improvements
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred
Experience with security frameworks like NIST, CIS, and ISO is highly desirable
industry certifications (e.g, CEH, or Security+) are preferred
