Digital Print Department Manager

They are seeking a Digital Print Manager to lead digital print operations, focusing on production, prepress, color management, and team leadership to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the digital print team with clear expectations and accountability
Set performance standards and drive continuous improvement in quality, throughput, and consistency
Foster a culture of professionalism, ownership, and pride in craftsmanship
Lead by example through work ethic, integrity, and problem-solving
Oversee all digital print production related to interior signage
Ensure efficient scheduling, resource utilization, and workflow execution
Identify and remove bottlenecks to improve speed, accuracy, and repeatability
Maintain production readiness while supporting growth and increased demand
Own and standardize prepress workflows, file preparation, and RIP management
Ensure files are production-ready with minimal rework or downstream errors
Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical challenges
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust color management system across substrates and processes
Ensure color accuracy and consistency aligned with brand standards and customer expectations
Establish quality control checkpoints and corrective action processes
Educate internal teams on color limitations, best practices, and expectations
Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for digital print within the interior signage industry
Make informed recommendations on: Equipment purchases and upgrades, Materials and substrates, Software, RIPs, and workflow tools, Process improvements and automation opportunities
Proactively identify gaps in current capabilities and propose solutions
Build a scalable Digital Print vision aligned with the company’s overall growth strategy
Anticipate future needs and prepare the department for increased complexity and volume
Balance efficiency today with smart investments for tomorrow
Qualification
Required
Proven management and leadership experience with measurable career progression
Deep expertise in digital print production, prepress, and color management
Strong technical understanding of equipment, substrates, inks, and workflows used in interior signage
Demonstrated ability to improve processes, quality, and operational efficiency
Strong communication skills with the ability to teach, influence, and lead
Physically capable of working in a manufacturing environment
