Responsibilities
Balances supplier partnerships with product needs, focusing on sourcing, onboarding, performance tracking (quality/cost/delivery), and ensuring vendors align with company goals, driving value, innovation, and smooth product supply through strong relationships and data-driven decisions
Research, vet, select, and integrate new suppliers for specific product lines or materials
Act as the primary liaison, building strong communication channels, managing expectations, and resolving issues
Become a deep subject matter expert on a specific product or product line, understanding its features, benefits, and technical specifications
Monitor vendor performance metrics (KPIs), conduct audits, and ensure products meet quality standards and compliance
Optimize costs and identify value-add opportunities
Work with internal teams (sales, ops) to translate product needs into vendor requirements, ensuring supply chain supports product roadmaps
Develop and implement best practices for the entire vendor lifecycle, leveraging technology for efficiency
Train sales teams, work with marketing to create marketing materials, conduct product demonstrations, and develop strategies to enhance marketability and drive revenue
Directly engage with customers to answer questions, provide support, gather feedback, and identify unmet needs
Research industry trends, monitor competitors, and analyze market data to inform product development and positioning
Product Development: Collaborate with sales team to suggest improvements, ensure marketability, and guide future product direction
Qualification
Required
