Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Management and Administration / Chief Information Officer
The Office of Management and Administration, Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Management and Administration / Chief Information Officer. The role involves developing strategic plans, establishing IT security policies, and managing oversight programs for veterans' services.

Responsibilities
Develop needs assessments and strategic plans in conjunction with the AIG, working closely to blend technology and data with the work processes
Chair cross-functional working groups to develop detailed plans for agency initiatives. Efforts will include responsibility for planning, budgeting, acquisition and implementation
Establish the policy and framework for IT security and implements it within OIG, and represent OIG in VA's committees and working groups involving data integrity, data governance, automated records management, as well as other committees involving data security and enterprise architecture
Direct, coordinate, and manage work through subordinates to support programs for a variety of investigative, auditing, and health care services oversight for nationwide veterans' services with significant resources and intense Congressional interest, and advises the Inspector General on agency wide IT management and data analysis programs
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Evidence of progressively responsible executive level leadership and supervisory experience indicative of senior executive level management capability
Experience at or above the GS-14 or 15 grade levels in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector
IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
Demonstrated success in transforming, building, and leading a high performing information technology services organization
Developing and executing a strategic plan to engage stakeholders regarding the development and deployment of technology within a federal government agency
Demonstrated knowledge of the American system of government and commitment to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law
Demonstrated ability to strategically and efficiently manage resources, budget effectively, and pursue efficiency through process and technological upgrades
Demonstrated knowledge, ability and technical competence to effectively produce work of exceptional quality
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a group toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals
Demonstrated ability to achieve both individual and organizational results
