Responsibilities

Established relationships in market to facilitate and accelerate company’s entry
The role focuses on driving revenue growth by penetrating the new segment through proactive outreach, relationship cultivation, and cross-functional collaboration
Conduct in-depth analysis of the new segment to identify target customers, competitors, and opportunities. Proactively cold-call, email, or visit potential clients to generate leads and secure business
Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the expansion, including promoting a range of offers (engineering, integration, manufacture and installation)
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and meet or exceed sales targets while collaborating with internal and external teams
Bring, build, and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent follow-up, account onboarding (e.g., setting up accounts, communicating expectations, coordinating initial orders)
Work with executive sales management, engineering, operations, and product teams to align on segment-specific needs. Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, track performance metrics (e.g., pipeline status, closed deals), and report on progress to leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, marketing, or a related field
At least 10 years in business development, outside sales, account management, or a similar role
Experience in parcel, postal or warehouse material handling involving automated material handling systems
Prior success in expanding into new markets or segments that demonstrates the ability to identify opportunities and build from scratch
Experience as an engineer or project manager of automated material handling systems
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills for engaging prospects via in-person meetings, calls, and emails
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management
Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office for reporting and presentations
Analytical abilities for market research, competitive analysis, and sales forecasting
A customer-centric mindset and business acumen
Ability to work independently with travel
Knowledge of market specific material handling systems equipment, parts, and services
