Responsibilities

Participates in maintenance of the general ledger and financial accounting systems
Monthly reconciliation and balancing of bank accounts
Reconciles deposits and revenue distribution between corporate entities
Applies accounting principles to accounts payable and cash control functions
Produce and enter monthly journal entries for multiple companies
Oversee check printing
Manipulates raw financial data to create meaningful operating reports
Manages payroll reports and payments for various corporate divisions
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by properly verifying, preparing and recording transactions
Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Monitors and reports variances in financial positions
The job may entail occasional additional hours during the work week
Generates custom spreadsheets and analysis as requested to enhance standard financial reporting
Participates in accounts payable processes
Participates in the generation of monthly financial statements
Participates in monthly and annual closing processes
Assists with pension plan maintenance, distribution, and regulatory compliance
Assists with benefit support functions
High accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Organization, time management, coordination, and research

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting required, with a minimum of 3–4 years of relevant industry experience
Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and standard office equipment, including calculator, scanner, and printer
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Experience with ERP accounting systems required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, diverse priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
Ability to exercise independent judgment and work autonomously
Willingness to work additional hours during the work week as required

Preferred

Healthcare experience preferred but not required
NetSuite experience preferred
