Responsibilities

Execute laboratory experiments, including but not limited to bacterial, yeast, and fungi culture, following established protocols and good laboratory practices
Accurately record, analyze, and interpret experimental data, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks and documentation
Contribute to the design and optimization of experimental protocols and methodologies
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
Prepare reagents, solutions, and other materials necessary for experimental procedures
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and presentations of experimental findings
Collaborate effectively with senior scientists, engineers, and other team members on various projects
Participate in troubleshooting experimental issues and developing solutions
Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards
Stay informed of scientific literature and advancements relevant to assigned projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field)
Previous laboratory experience (0-2 years) must include work with microorganisms, including bacterial, yeast, and fungal cultures
Ability to work with biological specimens, including blood, in accordance with safety protocols
Hands-on experience with standard laboratory techniques (pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation)
Written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving skills
Commitment to quality and safety in the laboratory
This is a fully onsite position. Employees are expected to work onsite five days per week

Preferred

Industry setting or academic research environment experience (preferred over other types of laboratory experience)
Proficiency in data analysis software (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Minitab)
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Proactive approach to challenges
