CURE Auto Insurance is a leading direct writer of auto insurance in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. They are seeking an experienced coverage defense attorney to handle files from inception through trial and appeal, with a focus on personal auto insurance cases and coverage matters.

Responsibilities

5+ years of experience handling first and/or third party personal auto insurance cases and coverage matters from inception to conclusion including arguing motions in limine and trials through verdict
Proven track record of being able to proficiently manage a full pending of case assignments
Extensive knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law, particularly relating to coverage matters including rescission and order of priority
Experience presenting and cross-examining lay and expert witnesses
Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
Experience working in a paperless electronic environment
Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Must have a law degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
Must have an active law license to practice in Michigan and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan

Preferred

PIP insurance defense background
Experience in the handling of Coverage matters, BI, UM and auto physical damage coverage matters
