Senior Director of Sales & Marketing – Luxury Multi-Unit Hotel (Hawaii-Based)
Renard International Hospitality Search Consultants is seeking a Senior Director of Sales & Marketing for their portfolio of luxury hotels in Hawaii. This role involves leading the commercial strategy, overseeing marketing initiatives, and ensuring cohesive collaboration across various departments to optimize revenue and enhance brand positioning.
Responsibilities
Lead the commercial strategy for two large luxury properties in Hawaii, ensuring total revenue optimization across rooms, F&B, spa/wellness, and ancillary revenue streams
Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to align Hawaii and SE Asia commercial priorities with global brand vision and financial targets
Develop multi-year commercial plans leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive benchmarking in the luxury segment
Direct and inspire a high-performing sales team across transient leisure, groups/MICE, corporate, wholesale, and international markets
Build and maintain key partnerships with luxury consortia, UHNW travel advisors, corporate travel managers, and strategic accounts in Hawaii, the U.S., Japan, Korea, Australia, China, and broader SE Asia
Drive account-based strategies that enhance market share, RevPAR index, and profitable mix
Oversee all marketing, digital, PR, and brand initiatives to ensure consistent brand expression across all touchpoints
Develop integrated marketing campaigns that elevate brand visibility in core and emerging markets, harnessing storytelling, content marketing, and digital performance channels
Champion guest experience enhancements that reinforce the brand’s luxury positioning and guest loyalty
Oversee revenue management strategy to ensure optimal pricing, inventory control, channel mix, and distribution effectiveness
Lead the formulation of demand forecasts, pricing strategies, and channel optimization plans for both Hawaii properties
Partner with corporate revenue leaders to ensure best-in-class systems adoption and tactical execution
Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Brand teams to ensure commercial decisions are achievable, measurable, and aligned with service excellence
Influence capital planning, product development, and guest experience initiatives from a commercial perspective
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing, culturally fluent Sales & Marketing team across Hawaii and collaborating teams in SE Asia
Establish a culture of innovation, accountability, and commercial excellence
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of progressive Sales & Marketing leadership experience in luxury hotels or luxury resorts, including oversight of multi-unit or large flagship properties
Proven experience in the Hawaii and W. USA or Resort market with strong networks across luxury leisure, groups, corporate travel, and international travel partners
Expertise in revenue management principles, digital marketing, distribution strategy, and brand integration
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering measurable revenue and profitability growth
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and intercultural leadership skills
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality
