Vice President of Operations
Marathon Bank is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee the management of all operational functions within the bank. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, high levels of customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvement while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities
Serves as the primary manager in charge of planning, organizing, controlling, and directing deposit operations, retail/branch operations, human resources, and facilities management functions for the Bank. Works closely with other officers in developing and changing Bank policies and procedures, and establishing short- and long-term operating, people, and financial objectives. Monitors progress on goals, and makes adjustments in operations as needed to meet goals
Lead HR operations, talent acquisition, recruitment, and employee relations. Management of payroll and the overall benefits program. Including the bank’s health insurance and other employee benefits
Directs and oversees all consumer services delivery and marketing at all Bank locations. Leads and champions consumer sales and coordinates the goal setting, tracking and training associated with consumer loans, deposits and related fee income
Ensures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures throughout the Bank
Maintains and models effective communication, both written and verbal
Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of facilities
Safeguards the resources of the Bank through establishing and monitoring programs for internal controls and general security
Coordinates activities of various programs such as sales, operations, and electronic financial services. Determines methods and procedures for executing programs. Develops related documentation as needed
Responsible for safeguarding sensitive customer information from cyber and other threats by following the Acceptable Use Policy and Code of Conduct/Ethics Policy
Responsible for upholding the security and confidentiality of nonpublic personal information that is obtained from customers by following the Banks Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Policy
Participates in professional associations; attends industry-related conventions, conferences, conventions’ reads pertinent publications
Develops relationships with other bank-related executives to enhance network and to increase awareness of new services/opportunities
Represents Bank at various civic and community events
Performs other duties as may be assigned by Board
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
10-15 years operations and information technology experience within a financial institution environment
Minimum of 7 years of operations and information technology department management experience with direct supervision of staff
Thorough and extensive knowledge of banking and bank operations
Human Resources Experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact with customers and employees with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
Resourceful, innovative and well organized
Ability to assess problems and/or unusual situations and develop logical solutions
Ability to create a collaborative and motivating team environment
Ability to develop and advance skills of staff
Strong ethical focus
Preferred
Completion of graduate level banking school
Specialized training information technology and data processing within the banking environment
Continuous education through participation in banking association sponsored events
