Landscape Project Manager
Whitmores is a family-owned business specializing in high-end residential landscape work. The Landscape Project Manager will provide support to Department Managers and oversee project logistics, scheduling, and execution of landscape design and installations.

Responsibilities
The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
The ability to understand or be trained to plan and execute simple and complex projects chronologically (job sequence)
The ability to use, or be trained to use, Transit equipment to identify key elevations and topographic information, and perform site layout to locate proposed horizontal elements
Software requirements include Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite AutoCad, Quickbooks workforce, Google suite
Knowledge of technical or industry language
Knowledge or willingness to learn horticulture, construction techniques and more
Help to supervise and coordinate projects; ensuring work is completed on time, budget, and per project specs
Ensure projects are completed to industry, Company, and client standards
Assist with Site crew scheduling, management and supervision to ensure efficient and safe working conditions
Regular communication with site project managers, foreman, project team including other Company departments and outside contractors/collaborators
Tag, select, and inspect plant material for jobs. May require coordination with plant buyer
Inspect, perform quality control, and take inventory of all material on project site
Help to coordinate the assignment of crews and personnel, material and plant arrivals and on-site storage and care, and shared equipment and machinery
Work with the project team to analyze, solve or advise on unforeseen site conditions
Perform regular site visits and supervision for current projects (work vehicle provided)
Represent the Company at meetings with owners, architects and designers
Attend project scope reviews and coordinate pre-construction meetings
Provide follow-up customer service on completed projects and coordinate with Whitmores maintenance team to ensure smooth transition and care protocols
Help to manage and administrate estimates, material and plant take-offs, changes to orders, project scope and estimates, in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. May require collaboration with other departments
Assist in preparing any contract amendments including project customization of T&C language
Help to manage project budgets; knowing where each project is daily. Immediately report to Management any jobs deviating from budgets of time, schedule, cost or any other factor so appropriate adjustments can be made to maximize end result
Coordinate with appropriate internal teams and vendors to ensure all material and supplies reach the job site as scheduled, specified and required
Help to manage change order process and administration
Assist with the creation of all project documentation and reports, including noting progress and areas of concern
Work with Accounts Receivable for the issuance of billing including deposits, progress payments, and final invoices, and follow-up for accounts overdue
Work with Accounts Payable on payments to subcontractors and vendors
Assist with site crew scheduling and help to check time cards, and work tickets
Assist with crew HR needs such as time off requests, performance reviews, accident and incident reports, and communicating general company policies or updates
Provide strong ongoing communication with internal and external project team
Assist with design work for new projects including Whitmores design projects, design development for clients, shop drawings, and internal design projects such as presentations, templates and forms. Often in coordination with design department

Effective problem-solving skills
Must be able to repeatedly lift 25lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
A valid driver's license with safe driving record
Excellent English language skills
Preferred
Knowledge of trees, shrubs and perennials is a benefit, but is not required
Experience working in a hybrid office-outdoor environment
Experience as a project manager or within the landscaping or construction industry
Bilingual Fluency (English/Spanish) is preferred
