Responsibilities

Assist to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments within the context of the Government acquisition process
Support the planning and organizing of program/project activities and analysis and perform professional or technical work related to program management
Assist to plan, organize, complete, and present assessments of program/project management concepts, analyses, studies, and procedures
Assist to evaluate implications of existing or proposed projects, programs, processes, and policies/laws and recommend improvements
Assist to establish and maintain contacts between the program office, supporting government offices, other Contractors, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), ACC and higher headquarters’ mid- to upper-level staff
Interface with appropriate weapon systems Contractor and DoD agencies to support the Fighter and Bomber Capability Planning Branch (WAO/WBO)
Assist to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, or evaluate solutions for project / program efforts and provide expert-level (determined by recommended experience and education requirements in 3.2.3) issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes
Assist with the analysis of war fighter requirements with ACC and serve as key advisor to WAO/WBO branch leadership on mission-critical capability needs
Support and represent WAO/WBO interests in TIMs and working groups, serve as a liaison between user requirements and organic engineering activity, and engage in Core Capability Team (CCT) activities
Support and conduct studies and analysis of tradeoffs for incorporation of potential capabilities in future USAF platform capabilities
Assist to provide capability planning including, but not limited to, technology solution sets, strategy, cost savings, and sustainment in support of the USAF F-16 Division and the WAO/WBO portfolios of programs
Assist to identify and solve problems; aid in the influence of science and technology investment decisions; develop and execute a collaborative process bridging war fighter-identified capability needs to plan for acquisition of materiel solutions; support the trade-space evaluation of emerging capability needs, including system-of-systems assessments; identify and assess technology maturity and risk drivers; and incorporate comprehensive life-cycle planning
Assist to incorporate all capability planning actions required to span the entire product/system life cycle from pre-concept to disposal in support of future program technical needs with F-16 Integrated Product Team (IPT) and cross-cutting stakeholders’ coordination
Support and conduct preparations and review pertinent data, coordinate with applicable managers, and finalize related documentation/information for verbal presentation of the plan status at required meetings.  Meetings may include but are not limited to IPT meetings, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), TIMs, and other required conferences
Support analytic identification of needs and development of requirements for potential materiel solutions; initiation of high confidence acquisition programs via early systems engineering; early test and evaluation strategy development; technology and manufacturing maturity; assessments of life-cycle analyses, lifecycle cost estimates, and early acquisition intelligence engagement
Support and represent the interests of F-16 and the WAO/WBO portfolios of programs in the Service Core Function process
Build business relationships and assist to perform activities necessary to influence science and technology investment decisions favorable to F-16 and F/B interests through use and engagement with AFRL, the Innovative Research and Development (IR&D) website and National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC)

Required

Experience in program/project management within the Government acquisition process
Ability to plan, organize, complete, and present assessments of program/project management concepts, analyses, studies, and procedures
