Sr Client Manager, Commercial Risk-Insurance Advisory Solutions
The Baldwin Group is an award-winning entrepreneur-led insurance brokerage firm specializing in Commercial Insurance and Risk Management. They are seeking a Senior Client Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are understood and expectations exceeded through effective relationship management and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of assigned clients, acting as their main point of contact
Demonstrate a persuasive style of communication that focuses on understanding and addressing client needs
Lead clients and internal stakeholders through planning sessions to define goals, scope of marketing activities and special projects
Coordinates service delivery including developing initial placement/renewal strategy
Communicate company policies, programs, and systems in a clear, persuasive, and teaching-oriented style
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects based on client needs
Ensure all work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established guidelines, structure, and policies
Manage contracts, renewals, and negotiations to support positive, mutually beneficial client relationships
Resolve client issues and challenges promptly, escalating to appropriate internal teams when needed
Provide constructive, supportive feedback and follow-up with colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables and positive working relationships
Maintain strong, friendly follow-up on delegated tasks to ensure proper results when working with and through others
Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes
Qualification
Required
Possesses strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites
Can analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects
Exhibits excellent client service and problem-solving skills
Possesses intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability to learn any other appropriate insurance company and firm software programs
5+ years of experience building strong client relationships and delivering outstanding work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to stimulate, motivate, and engage others while being responsive to their needs and concerns
Strong ability to 'think big' strategically while never losing sight of critical details
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Driven, collaborative team player who demonstrates 'we before me' attitude
License(s): Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment required
Preferred
A bachelor's degree is preferred, and either have or is working towards, a professional insurance designation
