8+ years expAdvantage Technical is seeking a Sr. CNC Machinist / Toolmaker with extensive experience in CNC machining. The role involves supporting preventative maintenance, building and assembling plastic injection molds, and training others in the safe use of equipment.

Responsibilities
Train qualified trainee’s in the safe and proper use of equipment (i.e. EDM - Sinker, Wire, and Hole Popper, Machining – Machining Center, Hard Mill, Bridgeport milling machines, Grinding – manual grinders) as per a development plan
Prepare molds for production
Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints; determine required machine operations; and consider the finish requirements for a task
Inspect tools for defects and repair tools
Work with cross-functional teams
Inspect products and select the correct shop equipment, precision measurement devices and other tools needed for job
Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions
Practice safe machine shop practices and comply with safety standards
Qualification
Required
8 years of experience in CNC machining
Proficient in CNC machining
Experience with polymers such as TPC and polycarbonate
Experience with hot runners, manifolds, and two-shot injection molding tools
Strong skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing CNC machines
Experience with larger equipment with smaller size tolerances and allowances
Support preventative maintenance
Building and assembly of all plastic injection molds and components
Creating jigs or fixtures necessary for production
Operation and training in EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), machining, and grinding
Train qualified trainees in the safe and proper use of equipment
Prepare molds for production
Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints
