Operations Manager

Webb Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and improve the daily execution of their independent insurance agency. This leadership role focuses on process improvement, accountability, and operational excellence within the insurance environment.

Responsibilities

Own and manage daily service workflows within the insurance agency
Ensure policies, endorsements, renewals, and documentation are handled accurately and on time
Maintain consistency across carriers, lines of business, and internal standards
Identify operational breakdowns and correct the underlying process
Document, maintain, and improve insurance-specific SOPs
Enforce file completeness, documentation standards, and audit readiness
Reduce E&O exposure through process controls and quality checks
Ensure carrier guidelines and agency procedures are followed consistently
Set clear expectations for CSRs and service staff
Coach team members using data, workflows, and documented standards
Address performance gaps directly and professionally
Ensure accountability without micromanaging
Track and report on operational KPIs (turnaround times, renewal timelines, error rates, workload capacity)
Monitor team capacity and recommend process or staffing adjustments
Use data to proactively identify risks and inefficiencies
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce rework
Implement process improvements and measure results
Build systems that allow the agency to scale without sacrificing quality

Required

Prior experience working in insurance
Experience overseeing or improving service workflows (CSRs, renewals, endorsements, policy changes)
Property & Casualty experience (personal lines, commercial lines, or both)
Strong understanding of insurance documentation, compliance, and operational risk
Comfort enforcing standards and holding team members accountable

Preferred

Independent agency experience
Experience building SOPs and operational controls
CRM / agency management system experience
