Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary depending on the location
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the logistics and distribution environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities
Document and report any observed irregularities, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols
Support access control processes by verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required
Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
