Senior Accountant, GHFA
Community Affairs, Georgia Department of - DCA is dedicated to helping build strong, vibrant communities. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial records, prepare accounting entries, and support auditors while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities
Knowledge of the relationship of GL balance and its subsidiary ledger balances, initiating bank wires and ACH’s, reconciliation of source data to accounting modules
Ability to accurately prepare accounting entries and adjustments and perform mathematical computations
Ability to retrieve information from the accounting system and identify and investigate discrepancies
Ability to work with federal forms and applicable regulations
Ability to review source documents, such as accounting reports, invoices, reviews, analyzes and resolves related problems
Ability to provide support to auditors and other reviewers and perform clerical responsibilities
Responds to requests for information and assist colleagues in resolving clerical and accounting issues
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to meet strict deadlines and collaborate with program managers
Skill in Excel and data analysis methods
Ability to interpret and present data to management team
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university AND One year of professional accounting experience
OR Bachelor's degree in business administration from an accredited college or university AND Two years of professional accounting experience
OR Bachelor's degree in general studies from an accredited college or university AND Three years of professional accounting experience
