Quality Assurance Tech - 3rd Shift

The Quality Assurance Tech will ensure compliance with quality and food safety programs, assist with product specifications, and maintain quality records while participating in audits and investigations.

Responsibilities
Maintain work areas and operation in order to meet and exceed internal and external quality and food safety demands
Participate in customer work groups as needed in order to maintain appropriate relationships
Assist with product specifications at an interval that assures compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements
Ensures associates compliance in quality and food safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet or exceed the established guidelines of regulatory agencies, customers, and GFSI
Assure the execution and adherence to Crown Bakeries quality and food safety programs, policies, and procedures
Maintain quality records and date in a way that allows for an efficient flow of information to plant leadership and customers
Prepare for and participate as needed in customer and regulatory audits at each company facility to ensure superior audit scores and compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements. Superior audits help maintain or gain approved supplier status with customers
Ensures effective gathering of information and documents related to any investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments and implementation of change control, and corrective and preventive actions to the adhered timelines while following up through various methods including trending to ensure all corrective and preventive actions were implemented effectively
Communicate quality information to any Supervisor or Manager on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis through reports, meetings and presentations as required. Provide plant management data that is accurate of the company performance in quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Food, Science, or Food Technology
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Strong Computer skills proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, food quality testing and safety issues
Preferred
Knowledge of statistical and analytical problem-solving procedures
