Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment

Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity

Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the healthcare setting

Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required during routine activities and critical incidents

Complete detailed reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and any unusual occurrences at the location

Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies and/or security-related threats, following established protocols
