Learning Specialist - Learning Operations

Responsibilities

Supports the facilitation and delivery of regulatory education in the areas of Aggression Management courses and American Heart Association (AHA) Life Safety courses, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification courses
Assists in the design, implementation, and update of new and revised Harris Health learning solutions focused on clinical and safety training
Managing program content
Ensuring effective implementation
Coordinating program delivery
Conducting follow-up using industry-standard evaluation metrics
Provides support in training needs assessments
Instructional design
Reporting while making recommendations for the utilization of face-to-face, blended, and e-learning content
Facilitating designated training programs for various audiences, including clinical staff
Delivering impactful and engaging learning experiences in Aggression Management and Life Safety training

Required

Bachelors in Healthcare, Nursing, Behavioral Science
Three (3) years Teaching experience and educational/instructional program design required
Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Writing/ Correspondence
Writing/ Reports
Ability to manage and facilitate education programs
Knowledge of communication principles, media and marketing techniques, program planning skills, experience in supporting content curation with learning management systems
Demonstrates knowledge and application of the principles, theories and practices of learning and development
Ability to analyze current and emerging trends (best practices) in the industry
Synthesize and tailor complex information to the written word for the development of effective collateral materials
Ability to identify gaps in learning
Maintain learning and development records

Preferred

Masters preferred
BLS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred
PALS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred
ACLS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred
Aggression Management preferred
Healthcare industry experience preferred
