Adjunct Faculty-IANIM 1260 Principles of Animation 2 for 3D, Spring Semester 2026, Fully In-person/On-campus, Monday, 1:15–6:15pm
Lesley University’s Department of Media Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Principles of Animation 2 for 3D. The role involves utilizing digital 3D animation tools to teach students the Twelve Principles of Animation through demonstrations and projects.

Responsibilities
Teach: IANIM 1260 Principles of Animation 2 for 3D
Utilize digital 3D animation tools and keyframe methods
Investigate and illustrate the full visual vocabulary of the Twelve Principles of Animation
Practice and refine students' understanding of the Twelve Principles of animation
Combine several principles into one action to create more dynamic and interesting 3D animations
Expose students to 3D animations from historically and artistically relevant films and TV series for inspiration and context
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in the Animation and/or Game Design industry
Proficiency in teaching Animation Principles using 3D software (Maya, Blender and related tools)
Preferred
Master's Degree
Successful experience teaching 3D animation at the undergraduate level
(or equivalent)
