Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership on complex integrations, stepping in to guide smaller teams when needed. This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills and grow into a formal management position over time
Develop and program AV control systems (e.g., QSC, Extron, Crestron, or similar platforms)
Configure and optimize audio, video, and networked components for integrated systems
Collaborate with project engineers, project managers and customers to translate system drawings and functional intent into executable code
Support on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of control systems
Create user interfaces and touch panel layouts that are intuitive and user-friendly
Document code, system configurations, and change logs
Support post-installation service, remote troubleshooting, and customer training when required
Maintain awareness of emerging AV technologies and programming standards
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience programming and commissioning AV control systems
Proficiency in at least one major control platform
Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow, network fundamentals, and device communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS-232, IR)
Ability to read and interpret system drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
Q-SYS Control Programmer
Experience with DSP configuration (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.)
AV-over-IP systems with converged networks
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python, Lua) preferred
