Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and delivery of high performing, scalable and secure platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes
Find and address performance issues
Automate infrastructure and application deployments
Focus on continuous improvement of our infrastructure through automation
Drive standardization of our infrastructure code pipelines
Create and contribute to technical documentation and diagrams
Collaborate with other engineers on the delivery of solutions
Champion infrastructure code quality and maintainability
May contribute to the evaluation of new technologies
Evangelize automation, and DevOps best practices to other teams in the department
May contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery, security and back-up and restore plan and policy
Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours
May participate in off-hours on-call rotation
May provide second level troubleshooting support and assistance to other admins and engineers
Attends and is prepared to participate in department and company meetings
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Associates Degree or higher plus 3 years in information technology; or related experience
Intermediate level ability with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or Kotlin
Intermediate level ability with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python
Intermediate level ability with CI/CD technologies such as Concourse, Octopus, and Jenkins
Intermediate level ability with monitoring tools such as Nagios, New Relic, Grafana, and Splunk
Intermediate level ability with Terraform, Ansible, Salt, and Chef
Intermediate level ability with cloud computing and virtualization technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware)
Intermediate level ability with Identity Provider (Keycloak/Okta) integration: OAuth, OIDC, SAML
Intermediate level ability with data storage systems such as Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo, and Elasticsearch
Fundamental understanding of web applications and Linux
Writing technical documentation
Debugging, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis
Assist Software Engineers with knowledge and resolution for problems encountered
Intermediate understanding of networking principles
Intermediate understanding of RESTful APIs
Intermediate understanding of event-oriented software architectures
Intermediate understanding of secure programming techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with other people in a friendly, professional manner
Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions
Self-starter; willingness to dive in without being instructed
Preferred
Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or equivalent
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent
Splunk Core Certified User or equivalent
