Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Heart Institute)
The University of South Florida Libraries is seeking candidates for tenured or tenure-track positions at all ranks in the Heart Institute. The successful candidates are expected to establish a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program while also engaging in teaching and administrative duties related to heart disease research.

Responsibilities
Provide didactic and benchside teaching of medical students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows and provide college-wide seminars
Perform basic and translational research related to heart disease. Publish in major peer-reviewed journals, continue to maintain NIH and other grants
Serve in governance, service, and community outreach tasks

Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
For Associate or Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing, or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization
MD, PhD, MD/PhD with at least 1 National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant performing basic research in cardiovascular disease
Preferred
MD, PhD, MD/PhD with more than 1 National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant performing basic research in cardiovascular disease
