Responsibilities

Design and implement a functional, secure, and redundant systems infrastructure

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to systems operations, redundancy, reliability, security, and performance

Configure and install software, servers, storage, storage/systems infrastructure, and other network devices

Suggest and deploy improvements to systems performance, redundancy, security, capacity, and scalability

Monitor systems performance, security, and integrity

Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

Create, oversee, and test security measures

Maintain technical documentation

Be a mentor to team members

Excellent attention to detail

Problem-solving and critical thinking

Position requires after-hours and weekend on-call support

Strong VMware engineering and administration

Strong Windows Server engineering and administration

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

10+ years engineering complex systems and network environments
