Assistant Controller

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plants
Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards
Maintain accurate general ledger and cost accounting records
Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins
Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives in collaboration with operations
Perform standard cost updates and ensure accurate product costing
Lead annual budgeting process for the plants
Provide rolling forecasts and variance analysis to management
Support strategic planning with financial insights and scenario modeling
Ensure adherence to internal control policies and SOX compliance
Coordinate audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Act as a financial advisor to plants leadership, providing insights to improve operational efficiency
Support capital expenditure projects with ROI analysis and financial justification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years in manufacturing finance or cost accounting
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
Business acumen and strategic thinking
Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations
Qualify as 'U.S. Persons' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15

Preferred

CPA or CMA preferred
Prior plant Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
