Western US Strategic Account Executive

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned strategic agencies and agency members, acting as the primary point of contact
Identify and understand agency goals and challenges to tailor solutions that drive value to improve first responder and public safety
Conduct regular deal and account reviews with management, presenting insights and strategy recommendations
Develop and execute territory plans to achieve sales targets and foster long-term relationships with prospect and customer agencies
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for account expansion
Serve as a trusted advisor to agencies, providing industry insights and best practices
Prepare and present activity reporting, deal reviews and win/loss reviews, including managing their territory information in Salesforce.com
Achieve quarterly and annual goals

Required

The SAE must have a strong work ethic, high activity levels and be willing to do 'whatever it takes' to get the job done
Upon starting at NPSG, must complete the onboarding task of reading Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin
Be familiar with the Public Safety Software industry, understanding agency needs related to PSS and being familiar with the public safety software providers
Be a proactive team player that doesn't wait for task assignments, but rather seeks out activities to take on and complete
Be comfortable with autonomy – this takes a self-driven person working remotely
Ability to work on a large and complex deals/projects independently – we work with many very large Public Safety agencies
Comfortable and skilled in presenting our services to Executive and Information Technology agency members, many times to large groups at some of the largest agencies in America
Have excellent written and verbal skills for correspondence and to respond to RFPs
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving agency success

Preferred

Preferred to have at least (5) years' experience selling CAD, RMS, JMS, and Mobile solutions to new accounts at a leading national public safety software provider
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and 5 years' work experience in public safety and/or public safety software sales
