Head of Games Time Training
LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games is the organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Head of Games Time Training is responsible for designing and implementing training programs to prepare the workforce for Games Time delivery and operations.

Responsibilities
Conduct an enterprise-wide needs assessment across all Functional Areas to determine organizational training requirements and needs for Games Time operations and delivery
Lead the development and execution of LA28’s Games Time (GT) Training strategy aligned to expected workforce growth and the operational readiness strategies
Lead the HR Team’s Operational Readiness activities and work cross functionally to achieve organizational readiness objectives
Lead the development and delivery of all GT training programming, including but not limited to coordinating general training, role specific and venue specific training, as well as other required preparatory activities across the GT footprint
Work with key stakeholders including the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, and key partners to curate, adapt, and optimize existing required or relevant content to support training requirements
Efficiently assess and utilize available systems and tools (e.g., Learning Management System) and optimize technology to enable the most effective and scalable Games Time training deliverables
Collaborate with third-party vendors to curate or deliver training content where required
Qualification
Required
Prior Games or mega-event training experience required
8+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or related field, preferably in a high-growth or project-based environment
Experience curating and adapting existing learning content to meet operational goals
Experience managing a learning management system (LMS) and implementing digital learning platforms, as well as in-person delivery
Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate engaging learning experiences across in-person, virtual, and self-paced modalities
Skilled in project management, with the ability to manage multiple programs and timelines
Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong project management skills with the ability to design and deliver multiple learning initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and effectively manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Comfortable using data and feedback to assess learning effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
Passion for the Olympic and Paralympic movement and commitment to LA28's mission
Working in an open office environment, on-site 4-5 days per week
This role requires extended periods of computer use and virtual collaboration
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during Games-time operations, including navigating large event venues and workforce centers
Capability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, particularly in the lead-up to and during the Games
Must be available for non-traditional work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support workforce operations
May require lifting and transporting materials, such as workforce equipment and operational documents, up to 25 lbs
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience in workforce development, sports, entertainment, or large-scale event planning a plus
