Health Informatics Core Research Program Coordinator

They are seeking a Health Informatics Core Research Program Coordinator to assist in the administration of research protocols and technology-enabled care models, ensuring quality assurance across clinical trials and technology-based initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assists with the prioritization of product features and requirements, focusing on key initiatives in clinical research and technology-enabled care models
Assists with agile product management, translating research and clinical needs into well-defined product backlogs and user stories
Assists with educational activities related to clinical research and digital health for all staff involved
Assists with research, policy, and quality projects, integrating system initiatives with a focus on technology-enabled care
Provides and assists with expert-level training for research protocols and technology-enabled care model development
Supports investigators in crafting research and care model protocols
Identifies, completes, and manages research grant applications related to digital health
Manages participant activities, including screening, enrollment, and communication across both research and technology platforms
Serves as a coordinator as needed for all projects, both clinical and technology driven
Assesses feasibility of protocols across clinical and tech-based departments
Supports statistical needs for clinical research and technology assessments
Administers surveys and educational materials in line with study and technology requirements
Ensures compliance with documentation within medical records and digital platforms
Provides training on Institutional Review Board (IRB) activities including submissions, modifications, and reporting for clinical research
Manages coordinators' regulatory documents, managing compliance with industry standards, research protocols, and technological regulations
Directs sponsor correspondence, monitoring, and study meetings for research and digital health initiatives
Conducts quality assurance audits across clinical research and technology projects
Oversees large or multiple smaller projects, focusing on research and technology innovations
Serves as a financial and contractual resource for clinical and technology projects, overseeing budgeting, sponsor interactions, account management, and reconciliation
Monitors project expenditures and adherence to budget, flagging deviations
Collaborates with leadership to monitor key performance indicators in research and technology
Identifies suitable grants focusing on digital health and informs investigators
Functions as a mentor and educator for quality assurance, research ethics, and technology use
Orients and evaluates cross-functional agile teams, ensuring the focus remains on high-priority tasks and iterative improvement
Maintains licensure, certification, and stays updated on research and technology regulations

Required

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in clinical research in a medical/behavioral setting, with a strong understanding of research principles, methodologies such as conduct of clinical trials, and technology-enabled care model design
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, health-related, or technology-focused field is required
Certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), or a comparable organization, within 1 year of employment
Completion of Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training within 30 days of employment
Extensive understanding of federal and state regulations, as well as best practices in both clinical research and technology-enabled care models, with the ability to mentor and guide staff in these domains
Self-starter with a strong intrinsic motivation, capable of independently managing complex projects that involve both clinical research and technology development, while achieving short- and long-term objectives
Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, from research personnel to tech developers, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in an engaging manner
Robust organizational skills with the aptitude to coordinate multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables across clinical research and technology sectors
Strong interpersonal abilities for fostering teamwork and collaboration among interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, technologists, and administrators
Technical proficiency in data management and digital health platforms, as well as familiarity with statistical tools, enhancing the integrity and efficiency of research and technology projects

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Demonstrated expertise in creating and negotiating project scope, timeline, and budgets for both clinical research and technology projects
Proven skills in project management, including budget tracking and cost reconciliation
