Responsibilities

Conduct quality control and reconciliation of financial and compliance databases
Review accounting practices for compliance with federal laws, regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices (GAGAS), and applicable Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars
Analyze annual financial statements to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and programmatic requirements
Identify improper or illegal expenditures and recommend corrective actions
Evaluate logistics and operations of the audit and certification programs to improve efficiency
Draft budget requests for office operations
Perform other duties as assigned to support financial program objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; OR High school diploma/GED with a minimum of four years of related experience
General knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial systems/databases
Strong attention to detail with meticulous data entry accuracy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess financial data and recommend actions
Must be a U.S Citizen
Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years
Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening
