Sr. Financial Analyst, Retail

The Senior Financial Analyst will apply advanced analytical and financial modeling skills to support retail operations, including budgeting, financial analysis, and pricing strategy optimization.

Responsibilities

Analyze areas of financial performance and recommend best practices at the product, store, and market level
Act as subject matter expert on P&L, identifying variances and effectively utilizing key metrics to share insights
Leverage data to uncover actionable insights to provide support to Field Leadership
Evaluate production strategies including pricing, assortment, and volume to maximize gross profit
Support product pricing strategy and related reporting/analysis, projects/innovations, and processes
Develop and maintain routine and ad hoc financial and operating reporting
Contribute to aspects of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes for retail operations
Engage with and build complex financial modeling to support ad hoc requests
Deliver informative, well-organized presentations to leadership
Communicate analysis effectively with key stakeholders (field operations, corporate department leadership)

Required

Must be intellectually curious
Ability to connect complex operational metrics to financial results
Ability to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
Experience with financial statements
Ability to interact with and influence Retail Operations and Finance management
Working knowledge of accounting practices
Good knowledge of Microsoft office products, including strong Excel skills
Demonstrated planning and organization skills
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
Strong data-driven storytelling and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and work experience
5 years' experience in Finance or a combination of education and experience that yields the required Finance knowledge, skills & abilities
2 years of retail or manufacturing experience
