Quality Inspector - Electromechanical - Level 2
SQA Services, Inc. is a leader in managed supplier quality services, and they are seeking a Mechanical Inspector Level 2 to support source inspections at multiple supplier locations near Price, UT. This role involves conducting detailed inspections of parts, ensuring compliance with specifications, and documenting non-conformances.

Responsibilities
Conduct visual, physical, and dimensional inspections (both in-process and final) of parts, per project specifications and requirements
Perform incoming inspections from external providers of products and services (e.g., nickel plating)
Conduct in-process and final inspections of critical features, including witness inspections (e.g., CMM program run)
Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages
Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology aligns with drawing intent
Review and validate the justification for parts not inspected at final inspection
Audit and validate the execution of inspection plans as applicable
Document non-conformances using approved methods and submit non-conformance reports for customer disposition
Verify hardware cleanliness and absence of internal or external foreign object debris
Verify fasteners are properly installed; assure torque stripe is continuous and of correct color
Assure products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing, and of acceptable contour and waviness
Ensure products are of good workmanship and meet specified standards (e.g., oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts, scratches, dings, burrs, fastener edge distance)
Review and validate First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, including completeness, traceability, and compliance
Ensure the protection and preservation of inspected products for subsequent processing and shipment
Verify applicable shipping documentation for legibility and completeness, including part number, serial number, configuration change letter, and shipping destination
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience as a Quality Inspector or CMM Operator, with industry and commodity-specific expertise
Proficiency in dimensional inspection of precision tolerance parts
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with all inspection tools
Ability to understand and interpret complex GD&T requirements and validate complex assemblies
Experience with multiple primary and secondary part numbers (e.g., brackets, clips, doublers, splices, brackets, drip shields, etc.)
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Certified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5
5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector
