Responsibilities
Design Oversight: Lead electrical design for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems across commercial and institutional projects
Project Management: Direct projects from concept through completion, ensuring designs meet budget, schedule, and client requirements
Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior engineers while maintaining quality assurance across deliverables
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients to align designs with project goals
Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems adhere to NEC, NFPA, and state/local building codes, along with industry best practices
Technology: Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis tools to produce drawings, models, and technical documentation
Qualification
Required
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
10+ years in electrical engineering with proven project management experience across commercial, institutional, or industrial projects
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling/analysis software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and project scheduling platforms
Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and electrical design/build standards
Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
