Responsibilities
Own the Purchase Order lifecycle from PO creation in our ERP system to final delivery from the vendor
Proactively monitor order confirmations and shipping schedules to ensure 100% accuracy
Work closely with suppliers to address any discrepancies in order quantities, pricing, or delivery dates strive to “get it right the first time.”
Maintain accurate purchase order documentation and communicate timely updates in the ERP system
Act as the primary bridge between our suppliers and our internal sales and warehouse teams
Identify potential delays before they impact the customer and work with suppliers to improve lead times and avoid delays
Work with carriers and logistics partners to expedite shipments when necessary
Maintain strong supplier relationships to improve response times and mitigate risks
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries when necessary
Assist in resolving freightrelated disputes or discrepancies
Qualification
Required
2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or logistics
Detail-oriented: You understand that in our industry, a single digit in a part number makes a huge difference
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working within ERP systems
The 'Proactive' Mindset: You don't wait for a problem to land on your desk; you go looking for ways to prevent it
Preferred
industrial distribution or fastener experience is a major plus
