Open Rank Pulmonologist - Basic Research Track
The University of South Florida Libraries is seeking a Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician for a full-time position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The role involves performing research in lung injury and repair, advancing basic and translational research, and providing instruction and supervision for students and residents in pulmonary fibrosis.

Responsibilities
Perform research in the areas of lung injury and repair
This position will have a leadership component to help advance basic and translational research efforts in the Heart Institute and in pulmonary critical care and sleep medicine
Provide instruction and supervision for students, residents, and fellows at USF and its affiliated institutions in pulmonary fibrosis
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization
Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research and service
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor
For Associate Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed or other professional journals
Be a recognized authority in the field of specialization
Preferred
1-2 NIH or equivalent grants
PhD with prior experience of research in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine
Candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service
