The Maintenance Tech/Stationary Engineer is responsible for performing general building maintenance tasks and ensuring the property is maintained in a safe and comfortable condition, responding to emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

Paints

Repair/replace ceiling tiles

Services plumbing, electrical fixtures, replaces bulbs and ballasts, and associated electrical and plumbing components i.e. switches, receptacles, faucets, valves, clear drains, etc

Services all HVAC system equipment: Boilers, VAV’s, AHU’s, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, etc

Repairs or replaces old and faulty parts

Repairs locks, and makes keys

Makes regular inspections of building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment

Checks for appearance and cleanliness, and reports unusual conditions

Is on call for emergency duty when assigned

Is familiar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants

Knows emergency telephone numbers (e.g., police, fire department, Chief Facility Engineer, Facility Manager)

Follows all company emergency procedures
