Responsibilities
Prepare monthly billing invoices for assigned entities in accordance with franchise contracts, ensuring information provided to franchisees is timely and accurate
Document and record contract amendments, additions, and termination of contracts to ensure accurate billing
Review new franchise agreements and provide guidance on the appropriate accounting treatment for billing purposes
Execute and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures
Prepare and post journal entries throughout the month as well as during month-end close for any corrections or adjustments to billing invoices
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and general accounting guidance on sample selections as requested
Partner with our franchisees to investigate and resolve material variances
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely billing and accurate Aging reports
Supports the Franchise Accounting Manager or Director with ad hoc requests and special projects
Provide input to process design and drive continuous process improvement with a focus on standardization, efficiency and quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of high-volume multi-entity billing (Franchise agreement related experience preferred)
2+ years of general accounting experience
Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel including the ability to effectively organize, manipulate, and analyze large amounts of data
Strong PC proficiency and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate ability to leverage technology to improve processes and efficiencies
Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with Franchisee's, Operations teams, and other external stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and challenge the status quo
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Strong analytical skills and ability to accurately process numerical data
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Passionate, enthusiastic, and results driven
Preferred
Proficient fluency in Spanish (written/spoken)
Prior experience and comfort training or mentoring staff on billing related activities
