Responsibilities
The unit secretary is responsible and accountable for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit, performs receptionist duties and maintains supplies/equipment for the unit
The unit secretary participates in a positive patient experience including supporting RNs in the delivery of patient care items and providing meal companionship to patients
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire
Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills are required
Preferred
Public contact and clerical experience preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone preferred
