Responsibilities
Conduct on-site inspections of concrete, stucco, steel structures, roofing, waterproofing, glass, and glazing systems
Verify construction activities align with engineering specifications, building codes, and industry standards
Accurately document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports for clients and building departments
Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain schedules, support project goals, and ensure timely progress
Monitor job site safety and compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols
Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide updates and insights
Represent DeSimone with professionalism and integrity at job site meetings and walk-throughs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline is required
Strong understanding of concrete, stucco, roofing, waterproofing, glass, and glazing systems
Familiarity with Florida Building Code and restoration industry best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
Physically able to perform inspections outdoors in varied weather conditions and at heights (rooftops, scaffolding, swing stages, or lifts)
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Prior experience in field inspections, or restoration strongly preferred
Spanish proficiency a plus
