Academies Committee: Marketing Coordinator
Digital Collegium is seeking an Academy Marketing Coordinator responsible for creating marketing plans and strategies to drive registration for their academies. The role involves managing social media content, engaging with attendees, sponsors, and presenters, and monitoring the success of marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
Facilitate an environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
Meet with the Academy chairs to establish goals and timelines for driving registration
Share news about the Academy including important deadlines and other updates
Plan, create, and run paid social media campaigns if needed
Coordinate with Academy chairs for content ideas and announcements
Monitor relevant hashtags and online communities for questions and comments about the Academies
Respond through the “official” DigiCol channels or through their personal profiles, whichever feels appropriate
Maintain and post content to: DigiCol Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr and YouTube accounts
Meet regularly with Academy planning committee
Monitor and respond to queries or concerns expressed on social channels
Post Academy highlights and shareable content on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
Share post-event materials and information as appropriate
Continue monitoring and responding to Academy hashtags on social media
Meet with Academy committee to debrief
Report on marketing successes and how to improve for following year
Qualification
Required
Membership in the association, which can be fulfilled at application. (Free general membership for higher education professionals would meet this requirement.)
Experience as a marketing/communications manager for an organization or business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and planning skills
Knowledge of social media platforms, including best practices and promotional opportunities (inc. targeted paid campaigns)
Understanding of organizational branding and how to further it on social
Proficient in content strategy theory and application
Displays working knowledge of communication and marketing best practices
Proven ability to effectively promote a brand using common practices including, but not limited to: audience segmentation in advertising, email communication, and written content
Strong written communicator across different formats (i.e. social media, blogs)
Preferred
Work experience in a public relations environment
Experience coordinating an integrated communications team
Previous or current work experience at a higher education institution
