Columbus McKinnon Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will plan and design product applications based on customer requirements. The role involves organizing complex components and assemblies for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineered products, as well as supporting the Operations Team in developing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives

Responsible for generating bills of materials for all product designs utilizing conventional types of plans and specifications

Responsible for generating wiring schematics and control cabinet layouts for hoist equipment

Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications

Creates/describes design procedures and specifications leading to construction documents

Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management/commercial decisions

Responsible for supporting the Operations Team by developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building, assembling, and installing components

Transitions products from product development to production

Support other functions (Quality, Sales, etc.) in order to satisfy customer needs and resolve issues

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringAutoCADSolidworksElectro-mechanical systemsNational Electric Code (NEC)Design software proficiencyAnalytical skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 3 years design experience required

AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience required

Preferred

Experience with electro-mechanical systems or hoists desired
