Responsibilities

Creates basic & advanced isometric, orthographic, axonometric, and perspective illustrations, wiring diagrams, and schematics for technical data products

Gathers, synthesizes, and accurately interprets engineering data to support creation of technical data products. Integrates text and illustrations. Interfaces with customers for basic clarification of input

Researches existing illustrations/graphics to create or revise technical illustration products

Produces deliverables with first time quality

Performs quality reviews for junior illustrators on the team

Adds metadata information to files to enable efficient retrieval of stored illustrations

Applies regulatory or organizational standards and specifications to produce illustrations for technical publications

Participates on internal departmental teams to develop or revise existing standards, processes and procedures

Ensures company products continue to meet applicable internal and/or industry standards

Participates in the investigation of emerging technologies and contributes to the development of new illustration tools, techniques and processes

Participates in the assembly of technical data products for final delivery
