Power BI Analyst
Akima is a federal IT contractor that supports its shareholder communities in Alaska. The Power BI Analyst will analyze data and processes to provide business intelligence information, transform raw data into insights, and develop interactive dashboards and reports to aid in decision-making.

Responsibilities
Utilizes software to conduct analyses and manage data processes
Recommends alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs. Implements new data or analysis processes based on changing business or industry conditions
Develops documentation and policies on data collection, transformation and deployment for business intelligence applications, reports, and requirements
Reviews collected data for additional validation and collection integrity, oversee deployment of data-to-data warehouse. Performs work under minimal supervision
Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
The Power BI analyst transforms raw data into insights that shape business decisions
The Power BI analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, transform data, and deliver high-quality visual reports and dashboards that drive decision-making
Responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports, collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs, analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights, maintaining data accuracy and integrity within BI systems, and translating business requirements into technical specifications
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation/clearance - required for consideration. Some billets may require DoD Secret or Top-Secret access
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Bachelor's degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications
A minimum of Six (6) years' experience in creating Power BI dashboards
In-depth knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques
